About

CaraSalerno_fullsize-2Cara is Dancer, Singer, Actor who currently resides in New York City. She is originally from New Jersey and grew up in St. Louis, MO. Cara attended Ball State University for 3 years, then transferred to Webster University and graduated with her BFA in Dance performance. Starting in 1995, she had the privilege of dancing at The MUNY Opera in the summers in St. Louis, where she earned her Actors’ Equity Card. Cara moved to New York City immediately after she finished her studies at Webster (so eagerly that she skipped her own graduation ceremony). In NYC, she worked as a concert dancer for many years, as well as an Independent Contractor for Industrials and Corporate Events; many for Mike Bloomberg!

Cara moved to Boulder, CO. and earned her National Certification in Massage from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. She owned her own massage businesses in Boulder and eventually in St. Louis, and truly enjoys nursing people with injuries back to health.

After a year or so of not dancing, Cara realized that she had squashed some of her passions and decided to audition for a show in the Chicago area. After performing on an off for a year, she decided that her air mattress needed to be traded in for a real bed, and that she could call that beautiful city home for several years. This gypsy has yet to stay put, so she’s back in NYC! Thank you for visiting my website!
